"Thirteen Sisters was painted with transparent inks blended with vivid acrylics. This is set along the Northern Michigan coastline where the colors are frequently astonishing and unexpected.

The skies near my home are a source of inspiration, often brimming with magnificent clouds that dance across the blue horizon.

My recent readings about trees and forests have introduced me to the concept of communities centered around mother trees. This artwork was inspired as I envisioned these trees banding together like a family, united in survival." - MarySue Ryan, Artist
