"Bears are my favorite thing to paint; I never have a plan they just reveal themselves to me.  This one is titled "Glimmers of Hope" for a lot of reasons ... some personal, but the most literal and obvious for the bear is the prospect of the fish in the water in front of him can you see them? He really doesn't seem hungry but more curious as he watches them, maybe he is just admiring the beautiful colors as they flash and glimmer in the water in front of him. " - MarySue Ryan, Artist
