Lake Michigan Pebble Cairn Pendant

"The word cairn derives from the Scots Gaelic càrn and refers to a stone mound created by humans. An old Scots Gaelic blessing. Cuiridh mi clach air do chàrn, translates to, 'I'll put a stone on our cairn.'

The Great Lakes shoreline, a rock hunter's paradise with its naturally tumbled beach stones, is another place where cairns are commonly encountered. Here, they are often constructed by beachgoers as a form of artistic expression. 

Cairns can represent special places and times, a life achievement, a remembrance of a loved one, or a spiritual journey. Whether its personal meaning is simple or complex, singular or multiple, may it offer a moment for reflection and guidance down your pathway of life.
